4-Ingredient Peach Popsicles (Vegan)

Healthy Creamy Peach Popsicles made with just a few basic ingredients. This easy vegan popsicle recipe is dairy-free, refined sugar-free and paleo friendly. Plus, these yummy fruit popsicles taste like a peaches n’ cream dream!

After making my 3-Ingredient Blueberry Popsicles and Strawberry Coconut Milk Popsicles, I decided it was high time to make a peach version.

While we don’t get the most incredible peaches here in the Western United States, I was determined to enjoy the best peach popsicles, even if it meant waiting for my peaches to ripen up.

For those of you who have access to a bounty of summer peaches, these homemade peach popsicles are a must!

At a baseline, all you need is three ingredients for these easy peach creamsicles. Fresh peaches, full-fat canned coconut milk, and pure maple syrup. 

I also toss in a little fresh lemon juice and some sea salt to bump up the flavor.

In order to prepare the recipe, you’ll need a high powered blender or food processor and a popsicle mold. The hardest part about the whole process is simply waiting for the popsicles to freeze.

The best part about making your own popsicles is you can use all natural ingredients. Fresh fruit popsicles are a great way to cut out excess sugar or highly refined sugars like high-fructose corn syrup that you see in store-bought frozen treats.

Let’s discuss the simple ingredients for these tasty peaches n’ cream popsicles.

Ingredients for Peach Popsicles:

Ripe Peaches: The key to the best flavor and texture here is using perfectly ripe peaches or overripe peaches. 

While under ripe peaches will still work, they will generate a grainy texture and not as much flavor. 

You can use frozen peaches if need be, but note that you may need to add some extra pure maple syrup or sugar because frozen peaches don’t tend to be as sweet as fresh peaches.

Full-Fat Canned Coconut Milk: In order to make the popsicles rich and creamy, we use one can of full-fat coconut milk. This ingredient provides creamy texture, rich flavor and the most subtle touch of coconut flavor. 

Don’t replace the coconut milk with any other dairy-free milk that comes in a carton. Other non-dairy milk varieties such as almond milk do not contain enough fat, which results in less flavor, a texture that isn’t as creamy, and icier popsicles.

Pure Maple Syrup: To sweeten the popsicles, we add some pure maple syrup. You can increase or decrease the amount based on your personal taste. To lower the sugar content, use sugar-free sweetener. If you avoid added sugar, skip the sweetener altogether. 

Fresh Lemon Juice: A little burst of citrus flavor provides some added nuance to the popsicles. You can add up to three tablespoons of fresh lemon juice or lime juice.

Sea Salt: A pinch of salt enhances all of the flavors of the popsicles and makes them taste richer and sweeter.

Recipe Adaptations:

  • If you aren’t dairy-free, replace the canned coconut milk with one 15-ounce can of condensed milk (not sweetened condensed milk unless you want incredibly sweet popsicles). 
  • Add ½ teaspoon of pure vanilla extract if you have it on hand.
  • If you have evaporated coconut milk or coconut cream on hand, feel free to use them instead of full-fat canned coconut milk.
  • Replace one of the peaches with 1/3 cup of orange juice for sweeter popsicles with a citrus burst. 
  • Replace half of the coconut milk with vanilla yogurt, full-fat Greek yogurt, peach yogurt, dairy-free yogurt, or any type of full-fat yogurt you love. If the yogurt is unsweetened, you may want to add some additional sweetener. 
  • You can use any fresh summer fruit here. 

Now that we’re familiar with the simple ingredients for vegan peach popsicles, let’s make them!

How to Make Creamy Peach Popsicles:

Peel and the peaches, remove and discard the peach pits and chop the peaches into chunks.

Place all of the ingredients for the popsicles (including the peach slices) in a high-powered blender or food processor and blend until the mixture is completely smooth.

Taste the popsicle mixture for flavor and add more pure maple syrup or lemon juice to your personal taste.

Pour mixture into your silicone molds (or ice pop molds), filling the holes most of the way up. Secure the lid on the popsicle mold and insert the popsicle sticks.

Freeze popsicles for 2 to 4 hours or until they have completely set up. The freeze time depends on the size of the popsicles and the temperature of the peach mixture going into the freezer.

When you’re ready to eat the popsicles, thaw them at room temperature for a few minutes before pulling on them to release them from the mold.

You can speed up this process by running warm water over the outside of the popsicle mold to help release the popsicles. 

Store the popsicles in the popsicle mold in the freezer, or move them to a large zip lock bag or airtight container and keep frozen for up to 3 months.

The popsicles will last even longer if you wrap them individually in plastic wrap before placing them in a freezer bag.

As an alternative to popsicles, you can make homemade peach ice cream using this same recipe by pouring the peach puree blended mixture into an ice cream maker and churning it.

Notes

You can sweeten the popsicles with honey or sugar instead of pure maple syrup.
If you aren't dairy-free, you can replace the coconut milk with evaporated milk.
